ecord micro Safe and flexible guiding of the smallest tubes < Ø 1 mm is how the innovative igus® "e-cord micro" functions.
The flexible "e-cord micro" can be assembled modularly and consequently adapted to movement in the machine. The predefined radii prevent bending of the tubes and ensure smooth workfl ows without machine downtimes.

Typical applications:Pipetting machines in medical technology
The capillary tubes routed in such miniature hoses, whose diameters measure just a few millimeters, must not be bent in radii of less than 45 mm in dynamic applications. If this requirement is not adhered to in the design or during operation, the hoses snap off and this leads to a machine failure. Permanently secure routing in pre-defi ned radii thus poses a technical challenge, which is solved by the "e-cord micro" band made of high-performance and elastic tribopolymers.
