Perfectly damped

This seat post for racing bikes will make the next Tour de France a breeze. Whereas previously rigid structures made of aluminium or carbon passed on every pothole directly to the rider, this construction, with two parallel leaf springs, damps the jolts. They are hinged together and firmly affixed to the frame below the saddle. Four iglidur® plain bearings were used here. Unlike conventional ball bearings or sintered bearings, they are light and remain mainte-nance-free in adverse weather conditions.
